All players playing and submitting entries for the tournament will be deemed to have read and accepted the conditions under which the competition events are to be conducted. By participating in the tournament, you expressly agree that the organisers will not be liable for any injuries/losses suffered, however they may be caused and regardless of any negligence

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  2. Each player must submit an individual entry form. Every player is allowed to enter in his/her own grade and in the higher grade. Players are allowed to enter in the same event over two separated grades provided the events are held on different days and/ if the players’ ranking is eligible to do so. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reject or re-grade any entry and shall have entire control and management of the Tournament.
  3. All players must wear appropriate racquet sport attire. Non- marking shoes must be worn.
  4. The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the Laws of Badminton adopted by the Badminton World Federation, except were modified by the Tournament Committee or these conditions.
  5. Rally scoring (1 X 30 points or best of 3 X 21 points) will be adopted where appropriate. Players will change ends when one side/team reaches 15 points when playing to 30 points.
  6. Enquiries regarding starting times of matches are the responsibility of entrants. The timetable for the event will also be placed on the tournament website and in the venue. The Tournament Director has the power to disqualify any player not available to play when called to do so. Any alterations made to the competition schedule due to unforeseen circumstances will be announced by the Referee. The schedule may alter depending on the number of entries received.
  7. No entries will be accepted without the requisite entry fee. There is a no refund policy with cancellations that occur less than 4 days before the tournament date.
  8. In the instance that a particular event cannot run due to low numbers, players will be notified and their money for that event refunded.
  9. Matches start at 10:00AM on both days. In general, playing order will be Singles followed by Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Players MUST be registered 15 minutes prior to commencement of the event.
  10. Entry Lists and Order of Play will be published after the close of entries with a link via 4badminton.com to Tournament Software. It is the responsibility of the entrant to check their entry and report any errors to the tournament organisers before the withdrawal date.
  11. Feather shuttles will be used and provided at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
  12. There are limited entries to each event and when the limit is reached, management will have the right to not accept further entries.
  13. There will be multiple prizes available for a raffle draw. Each player gets one entry into the raffle draw per event they join.
  14. If your name is drawn and you win a prize, you will NOT be eligible to win another prize, even if your name is drawn again. In the event that this occurs, a re-draw will occur.
  15. Winners will be randomly selected and the result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  16. Tournament Committee has the right to use any photo and videos taken from this event; players must advise the Tournament Committee if there is any concern about this condition.

4Badminton Player Grading System

4B has a policy involving the grading of players for all sanctioned state Open & Graded events. The policy was created to ensure players are correctly playing in an appropriate grade compared to their ability.
